Help Locate Photos

We have started an initiative to add location data to all of the images on EarthShots.org… and we need your help!

Images that have already been located have this link at the bottom of the description: Location

If you come across a photograph that has not yet been located, or if you find a photo that is incorrectly located, then please show us where it was taken!

To get the location of an image we suggest using Google Maps or Yahoo Maps. Once you have found where the photo was taken, copy the link from your browser’s address bar and paste it into a comment below the photograph on Earth Shots. Note that on Google Maps, you need to click “link to this page” before you can copy the link from the address bar. We will then be able to follow the link from your comment and update the location data.
