The setting sun illuminates a small cascade in the Mt. Hood wilderness, Oregon. This is one of my favorites of my recent photos, mainly because it is not an immediately recognizable location. You can imagine this being anywhere. Someone may walk by this scene on any given day and not even look twice. But on this day, it was magical. The light and water pattern pull me into the scene, and I want to be there again. When I look at this photograph, I can feel the cold water running across my legs, as I looked into the sun peaking from behind the trees, the light softly diffused by distant wildfires in the area. I hope you enjoy.
