Underneath A Giant
by Rudi van den Heever
Getting close to an african elephant and sensing its overwhelming presence, is a privilege few people can enjoy and a photographers' heaven with all the textures, shadows and contrast.
This image was taken in the Kruger National Park, South Africa.
Equipment: Canon 7Dmkii and 500mm F4 L lens

"What an awesome privilege to view the wonderful detail of God's creation through a man-made lens!"
I am a lawyer, photographer and conservationist (not necessarily in that order) from Pretoria, South Africa. Sharing my images and this amazing journey through the natural splendour of the Southern African plains, bush and sky, have proved to be one of the most satisfying experiences of my life. I hope that through my photography I can inspire others to conserve and protect the natural heritage of our children.
