Ice Frame

by Mei Xu

This image was taken in Kananaskis, Canada. I got this image because of an accident. My 14-24mm lens accidently dropped on the snow without cap on it. The whole lens was unfortunately covered by snow. There was no way to clean it up in ice-cold weather. I had to use another lens 24-120mm instead. This lens was not wide enough to include the whole scene which I wanted. Besides stitching several shots to get the whole scene, another choice was zoom-in. So I got one zoom-in shot and flipped it vertically. It became this image.
Equipment: Nikon D700+24-120/f4.0
