Trying a different take on landscape by adding a tiny human element: cyclist appearing on the scenery of the vast beaches of the North Atlantic coast at Zuydcoote, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France. It is a sort of panned abstract which accentuates the turquoise blue and orange brown colors of the beach and the sea.

Karin De Winter is a health care professional and part time photographer. Together with her husband, Jo Van Rossem, who is an architect and also a photographer, she loves to go and travel to capture special moments and portray nature and life. Their focus is primarily on travel, culture and nature photography, and they strive to create compelling photographs that - they hope - will not leave you untouched. Based in Belgium, they are both completely self-taught, and have been photographing to document their worldwide travels for years in Europe, North America, Middle East and Asia since the early nineties. It was not until 2007 though, when they first visited sub Saharan Africa, that they took it to another dimension, through self study and lots of practice. Since 2010 they run Winterlight Photography for freelance and rights managed stock nature and culture photography.
