Pomham Rocks Light sits on a large rock on the east side of the Providence River, just three miles from downtown Providence, Rhode Island. The lighthouse has been in operation since 1871, and sports a fixed ref fresnel. In this photo, blends in with the fiery sky. When I arrived for sunset, the sky was completely covered with dark clouds. But a few minutes after sunset, the clouds above the lighthouse lit up in vibrant red hues. The color only lasted five minutes.
