Being close to the most aggressive and most dangerous member of the big five family is an experience on its own... Getting even closer with a long lens almost takes you on a journey into the soul of the majestic african buffalo!
This image is almost full frame and taken in the Kruger National Park, South Africa..
Equipment: Canon 7D & 500mm F4 L lens

"What an awesome privilege to view the wonderful detail of God's creation through a man-made lens!"
I am a lawyer, photographer and conservationist (not necessarily in that order) from Pretoria, South Africa. Sharing my images and this amazing journey through the natural splendour of the Southern African plains, bush and sky, have proved to be one of the most satisfying experiences of my life... I hope that through my photography I can inspire others to conserve and protect the natural heritage of our children...
