The Waterfall in Fall
by Stefano Sala
Bavona Valley is one of the most beautiful and wildest valley in Ticino (Switzerland). Great rock blocks and vertical walls are everywhere.
The waterfall of Foroglio is a jump of a few less of 100m, from the end of Calnegia valley directly to not far behind the village.
Always a spectacular view, particularly in this rainy and wet day.
Equipment: Canon EOS 5D MKIII + EF 8-15mm f/4L

As an amateur photographer, I can't spend my time shooting as a professional, but I enjoy the freedom to choose the subjects that caught my eye, without any conditions from thirds.
I love landscape photography and I go out, most of the time in my country (Switzerland), searching interesting scenarios and trying to catch them in their best light.

Very nice, Stefano. Very painterly in feeling. Reminds me a bit of the late 19th century painters of the American west. Thank you for sharing.

Everything stands out so well, a very striking photo. Would love to hike there too. Thanks for sharing this beautiful scene with us. Just went on your web site and enjoyed the tour of Switzerland, a place I’d LOVE to visit. One of our daughters was there 2 years back and can’t wait to return.

Spectacular photo! Shooting this in the rain was brilliant – it brings not only a softness to the image but at the same time punctuates detail.

I have to say, I cannot stop looking at this shot. So many details, and such beautiful landscape! Do you think it would have looked as pretty with the sun out?
