Sunwapta Falls

by Tilman Frueh

Sunwapta Falls is located close to the famous Icefields Parkway in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. This is a HDR from 3 shots with an exposure compensation of +/-2 stops . To get this view, you need to climb down a few meters from the paved trail and take a super wide angle lense with a focal length < 20mm.
Equipment: Canon EOS 40D, HDR

I’m loving the falls and the island which reminds me of the famous shot of Maligne Lake with Spirit Island – another place I have yet to visit.
I’d be sorely tempted to shoot this on a timer whilst bending that sapling out of the frame.
