The bleu flame dive

by Koen Cuppens

The dive of a kingfisher is for me something special. I wanted this picture, a year later with many failures I found a place where the kingfisher came regularly fishing. Placing a camera and trigger in a glass box.on the fishing place gave me the following picture I had in mind..
Equipment: Nikon D3200, 300mm f4 ,Sb 900 flash
Koen Cuppens
As a child I always admired the kingfisher, when you heard the sound, you saw a blue flame with a speed rush on the water, disappearing into bushes and trees. The speed and the fishing is always special to see. In 2008 I started to photograph the kingfisher. Many hours and days of waiting was always a special occasion, over and over again. Every day you see the beauty of nature ...

The bleu flame dive by Koen Cuppens was photo of the day on Monday, 13th August 2012. It is tagged . You can leave a comment below.

Truely amazing ! I hope that you already have a framed photo hanging in your house, because it will take a long time for anyone takes a better picture of a Kingfisher !
