I love landscapes, architecture, abstracts, and occasionally portraiture. I strive for atmosphere, cohesive composition, interesting light, intrinsic beauty, and technical excellence in every photograph I make. I'm currently based in Portland, Oregon (previously Minneapolis, Minnesota and Los Angeles, California), and I don't see myself leaving the Pacific Northwest anytime soon.

This is a wonderful photo. Total tranquility. Another example of what a beautiful country America is. I really must get over there.

Never apologize for something photographed often, the personality is not static but ever changing, just like people! You wouldn’t tire of photographing anyone or any place you love. Thanks for sharing, I especially enjoy starshine photos. This one is beautiful.

Very nice! Well timed getting the sky and the stars. And since I haven’t even heard of Trillium Lake, no need for apologies! Looks like a place to know though.

There is a reason something is “oft photographed”–and your take is simply, beautifully elegant!

My favourite thing about this shot is the reflrction doesn’t match the sky because of the different depths in the water it makes the sky look cloudyer than it is. BRAVO

Wow! Inspiring!

Thanks everyone. Fernando, I think what you may be seeing is a layer of ice that was submerged under the water, just in front of the snow. :)
