I know Fly Geyser very well, having first gone there over 25 years ago. This image of it is one of the best I have seen, including mine!

What a stunning image. I’ve seen these terraces at Pamukkale in Turkey, where they are startlingly white. The mix of colours here is remarkable and enhanced by the red light of the sunset. It is interesting to me as a one time geologist, that the geyser is artificial. The central mound looks huge, but apparently is only 3 or 4 metres in height. A truly memorable photo, thanks.

Awesome – It is beautiful – You did very well – I have to agree with others it looks artificial because of such clarity and color – So the best word I could at this time express the beauty is AWESOME!!!!

Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments! Yes, the image is real, the geyser however is manmade, accidently created when a geothermal company was digging a test well in the 1960′s.

I was very fortunate to obtain permission to photograph from the property-owners and would be one of the last photographers given private access to the geyser. I was extremely lucky!
