DId anyone happen to notice his wounds and the blood. There may be life in this picutre but there is also death. The story to this picutre is much greater than we will ever know. It surely invokes thought and compassion.

Striking! Vibrant colors.

He looks like he is starving and tortured (probably self flagellation?). He looks amazing but the photo makes me feel uncomfortable, a western voyeur.

No wounds or blood in this pic, Karen. Those are ashes and powders these “sadus” (spiritual seekers) wear in India for a religious purpose / significance. Believe, this person is probably more content and happy with his life, than you or me will ever dream to be.
