Red fox

by Anna-Liisa Pirhonen

Last winter was hard in Finland. It was very cold and the snow cover was thick. I had a bird feeder in the forest, and often I saw fox tracks in snow. I left cat food in the woods. Once I was lucky and I got the photo.
Equipment: Canon EOS 7D

Excellent capture, the colour and DOF is too good. The fox is still licking the food around its nose so sweet.

A very good shot of a difficult animal to capture in the wild. Exposure is very good too in what had been difficult conditions.
You live in a beautiful country which I once had the privilage of visiting.

Wow! The birch trees, the fox, and the snow – what a beautiful composition. A truly magnificent capture. On top of that, you must be a nice person to help these critters in harsh conditions!

One I would consider a “shot of a lifetime”! Magnificent and perfect in every way. Big Congratulations.

Wow! what a beauty. Foxes are so beautiful,s espcially in the winter, their coat is thicker. It angers me when I see women using these or other others..with their tails attached to their big purses! Your a thoughtful person to feed them..I would too. Thank you for sharing. God Bless Toronto Ont.

Very nice picture! I just saw a tamed city-fox yesterday that came very close to me. It got approx. 2 meters from me, until my dog spooked it away. Very beautiful looking animal!
