Using a spot light shone from behind the Lioness i managed to capture this image with the back lighting illuminating the lioness profile.
Equipment: Canon 1D Mark II, Canon 70-200 F4 L USM

So contemplative, the silent thoughts of a mother. This is such a gorgeous shot, I agree, it looks like a rich velvet painting, the lighting makes it almost 3D.
