The Farmer

Early birds are often rewarded with the most unexpected and beautiful scenes! This photo is part of a series on the Dong minority groups in Guizhou, a poor province in south-west China. A rice farmer walks to his fields in the early morning.

Early, or late, is always best for photography isn’t it? Your effort to get out of bed whilst others still sleep has certainly paid off and you have been well rewarded for your good sense. This is a wonderful shot, both technically and aesthetically.
