Very interesting-at first I didn’t think I liked it-the reflection and refracted light off of the objects in the foreground was very off-putting but then I stepped back and took in the whole frame and discovered a warmth and friendliness that I hadn’t realized was there. I’m not sure what it is the photographer is sharing but I’m more comfortable with it now than I was when I first looked at it. Thank you for making me not only look but see.
What a wonderully unique image Max. Congrats!
Love this image!
Magical. Powerful. Alluring. Love it
Very interesting and unusual. Cool shot.
Wow, this really looks like another planet; I have never seen this kind of image before.
I’m so honored to be POTD. I sincerely appreciate your insightful comment Bill and a heartfelt thank you for all the wonderful support and encouragement from this community.
A lovely shot. Isn’t it amazing how photographs take our eyes places we wouldn’t ordinarly see!
Are these potholes in a road or an ocean?
It is five o’clock in the morning and my eyes have not adjusted yet.
So strangely beautiful and beautifully strange.
What a wonderful way to compliment the warmth & authority of the sun. The formations may take ownership of the shot initially, but the sun claims it right back and declares “without me, this would be as nothing.”
Very cool shot. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a “pothole” effect at a beach before.
You’ve managed to find an other-worldly combination of textures and patterns that I’ve never seen before. Congratulations on this one. Amazing.
I wonder what created these strange potholes on the beach. The earth never ceases to amaze me and we are blessed to be able to enjoy it and have the ability to share with other who will never get to see some of our amazing planet. Great shot
An excellent shot and Well seen! It’s a very unique image!
Congratulations for POTD!
Weirdly beautiful. It looks like it was shot on another planet.
