This is a beautiful photo. Is it really difficult to include information about where it was taken? It must also have been technically difficult to capture the image, a few clues about how it was taken might help others. :-)

I have the same questions as the person above – where and how it was taken. It is a stunning image and makes me want to see such a sight. Congratulations on a job well done!

I guess this is Iceland because only there could you get these colors. I have never seen and aurora in clouds before; well done indeed.

Stunning! I’d love to photograph the northern lights one day – in fact even seeing it must be amazing. The clouds really add to the atmosphere!

Fantastic picture and so unusual. I think the scene reminds me of Durness, North Scotland. It pays to wait for the right lighting to create a powerful composition of light and shade.

That is fantastic photo! There was a large eruption from the sun on Friday that lead to a geomagnetic storm & aurora. Looked for it in the North of England but alias no luck!

Very beautiful. The green hues are out of this world. Where did you capture this? Was it in the PNW?

We get greens like this in winter on very cold night but usually not so vivid!! Wonderful capture.
