Zambezi Stretch

Every year the winter thorn tree drop hundreds of valuable pod onto the Zambezi flood plane, which feeds the numerous inhabitant through the winder months, this particular elephant could not wait for the pods to fall.

Etienne Oosthuizen
Etienne is a professional guide with an invaluable enthusiasm for wildlife photography. A born and bred Zimbabwean and having grown up on a tobacco farm, he has always been exposed to the great outdoors.
His guiding career started at an early age during his school holidays, with canoeing trips down the Zambezi, but then became his profession in South Africa. Now with more than 8 years experience in 5 countries, and with many hours spent behind a camera, Etienne has been published in local & international magazines and newspapers. His photographs have also done well in a variety of competitions he has entered in, with 2010 being a particularly notable year, winning the Canon and Africa Geographic competition for May 2010 as well as being a semi-finalist in the 2010 Windland Smith Rice international photography competition.
