Glacier walking
by Bjorn Billing
A rope team close to the blue ice on Hardangerjökulen, Norway's fourth largest glacier. Getting into position for this shot was a bit of a struggle, but with a pair of sharp ice axes and a bit of luck I managed to get it pretty much the way I wanted.
Equipment: Canon EOS 3, Sigma EX 28-70/2,8

The people in the background really give this image a sense of how large the glacier really is. It was well worth the effort to capture this shot. Great work.
