Douglas Falls
by Joseph Rossbach
While this location is visually beautiful between the out of place red rocks sitting below a majestic waterfall in the Appalachian Mountains, it is due to environmental damage and acid leaks from an old abandoned iron Ore mine up stream. This was taken on a very wet spring day this past May in the mountains of Eastern West Virginia . The contrast between the red rock and vivid green foliage was too wonderful to pass up. Getting this perspective however was a little tricky as the rocks are a slick as walking on greased glass. I hope you enjoy.
