D. Robert Franz has been a full time professional wildlife photographer for 25 years. With formal training in wildlife management and geology he has extensive knowledge of the natural world. His photography has been extensively published worldwide. His images have been featured in, Audubon Magazine, National Wildlife, Sierra Magazine, Defenders Magazine, National Geographic, Das Tier Magazine, and many more. Robert’s prints have hung in the Smithsonian. Robert is also an accomplished assignment photographer. Clients have included Adolph Coors, Wildlife Conservation Society, Field & Stream Magazine, The Trust for Public Lands, Via Magazine, and many others. Robert has won many awards for his photography. In 2001 and 2004 Robert had winning images in the “Nature’s Best” photography contest. In 2006, 2008 & 2010 Robert finished 2nd in the Images for Conservation l Pro Tour of Nature Photography contest. This is the world’s richest photo contest. In 2007 Digital Photography Magazine proclaimed Robert as one the world's best wildlife photographers.
