Derbyshire
by Gediminas Uzdonas
A lone tree in windy Derbyshire.
Equipment: nikon d300, tamron 11-16mm wide

My interest in photography began whilst I was at school, and I began by using the now almost old-fashioned 'film' type cameras. My interest soon developed into an enthusiasm, and is now more of a passion. My photography has took me all over the UK and Europe, as I try to feed my flare for capturing the aesthetic beauty of even the most mundane and every day object. As my enthusiasm for photography has grown, so to has the standard of the equipment I use, and my knowledge of this medium. I now use a mixture of both digital and traditional type cameras to help me achieve the best possible results for the particular subject and environment, I have trained me in the many theoretical and technical aspects behind capturing the perfect photo.

My husband and I met in Derbyshire; I don’t remember it being quite so bleak though.

Well spotted. The cloud lines run at the same angle as the tree which really emphasises its windswept aspect.

the dramatic cloud formation really makes this a fantastic image, as if an extension of the tree. well composed

Super composition, amazing atmosphere. I love trees swaying.

The sense of movement you capture with both trees and clouds is extraordinary. The cloud formation pulls the eye back to the horizon.

Thats quite an intersting composition. It almost feels like tree brenches continue into the clouds in the sky. Nice one.
