Morning Glow

The image came about on one of my last days on my recent journey to Lofoten, Norway. For the first time during my stay it was below freezing and the landscape was covered in fresh snow after a recent dusting.
Just before sunrise there was a soft warm glow on the mountain Olstinden cast by some clouds on the horizon that picked up the light of the rising sun.
Framing just the mountain and sky created the simplicity that I often look for when I’m out photographing. The long exposure (30 seconds) contributed to this as well as smoothing out the water surface and the clouds in the sky.

I'm a landscape photographer based in Sweden who enjoy spending time outdoors, especially in the wilderness. Since I started photography, nature has been my subject. Actually, it was the passion for nature that initially got me interested in photography, as a way to convey my feelings for the surrounding beauty.
I enjoy doing long treks into wilderness as much as short outings to nearby locations. Rich experiences can be found everywhere, as are good images.
To me, photography is a journey during which I constantly learn, not only about the art of photography, but also about life itself.
