Mom, I can’t reach!

by Andrew Evans

I watched these two for a while, the mom was eating the last few fresh leaves that were left on the branches. The fawn watched intently, but couldn't quite reach!

This is gorgeous, but the “mom” has spots that make her look suspiciously like a second fawn! But no matter — it’s a lovely photo.

I love everything about this image: the magical light, selective focus and shallow depth of field, the subject matter, and overall composition.

Portrays a real feeling of sweetness and intimacy. The framing pulls us into the scene as if we are with you, privileged to be quiet onlookers. Unique and wonderful image!

This is the best I’ve seen on here for sometime. It’s not often we get treated to something other than landscapes (which are great also).
Congrats, this is a great snap.

Couple of questions, are you SURE that’s a mother and fawn and not two siblings?
Was this taken in the UK, Scotland perhaps?
