Christmas in Yellowstone

A skier (my father) glides past an erupting geyser in the Old Faithful geyser basin in Wyoming's Yellowstone National Park. The cold temperatures in the winter cause the geysers to release more steam than usual, making for a dramatic and magical sight.

I am a nature photographer living in Seattle, WA. I am most interested in unique and artistic interpretations of that natural world, with a special interest in natural patterns and simple emotionally evocative images. I sell fine art prints, write articles, and lead occasional private workshops. When not out shooting, I'm working towards my PhD in Control and Dynamical Systems at the University of Washington.
