The Mirror Effect

by James Fougere

Well everyone, after 7 amazing days in one of the most beautiful places in Canada, I woke up to a cold and crystal clear morning. And it was fitting to get this shot on my final day prior to heading to the next destination on my journey This shot was taken on the edge of Lake Magog. After 2 snow storms while I was there, I was lucky that the mountains had a fresh layer of snow on them. Mid September 2010 was the perfect time to visit the park because the lake was still open. Love the mountains, the crystal clear water and the rocks in the foreground, which echo the hues of the sun light on the mountain top.

Wonderful image! I love the colors. Photos like these inspire me to become a landscape photographer – though I don’t do well in cold weather :) Great Job

You have proven again that sometimes it is worth beating dawn out the door and freezing your toes off for art’s sake. Nicely done.

That has to be the best photo i have seen. Absolutely stunning. Please tell me is your name pronounced Faw-giri or Foo-jhere? I have an ancestor from the Chatham Islands with the same name and I would love to know.
regards,
Janette.
