Patience
by Erik Page
The sun didn't come out until about 45 minutes after sunrise, but I was still waiting patiently in hopes that it would show up. When it finally appeared, I managed to capture this shot before the entire scene was engulfed in blowing snow again.
Dream Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado
Equipment: Canon EOS 7D, Sigma 10-20mm, Really Right Stuff ballhead, Feisol tripod, Tiffen Polarizer, Lee .6 GND

I'm a 19 year old college student currently studying Conservation Biology, but at the moment my passion for this subject is greatly outweighed by my passion for photography. For me, there is nothing like getting out in nature, especially alone, to experience all the beauty it has to offer and all the emotions it can evoke. Photography is my way of expressing the feelings nature brings about to the rest of the world.

Beautiful. Really captures the essence of a cold winter wonderland, yet with hope of warmth and light rising with the coming day.

Thanks for the great shot. I go to Dream Lake every time I am in RMNP. I live in WV and have only been there in the fall so I like seeing one of my favorite places in other seasons.
