Las Rodillas del Capitan (The Captain's Knees) - Yosemite National Park, California, USA
For a gentleman with such a large nose, I figure his knees must be somewhere down here.
I took a few minutes away from capturing portraits of the whole cliff face to focus on the lovely details that I so often overlook when I am photographing.
Equipment: Nikon D200, Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 EX DG, upside down graduated neutral density filter

I like the way the fir tree on the right adds interest to the line of leafless black oaks. The image looks cold and crisp. If I were there, I’d like to be walking with my girl, holding hands and watching our breath before us.
