Breathtaking in the highest sense.
Where were you at the time ?? On a boat or on land ??
The absolute power of the ocean comes through.

I just realised – I’ve never seen anything like this on earthshots before, and I’ve been coming here for three years now. Awesome action shot, the power of waves is amazing, and healing and delightful and screams danger.

Hey, great shot, what lens did you use for this, and if it’s a zoom lens what was the focal length?

I love this shot so much, there is so many aspects to see in it. I have it as my desktop background.
I love the contrast between close water and the wave, the texture of the wave face rearing up, the ice/jelly like solid mass of the top of the wave, the fact the wave seems to be just standing there, and the white water accelerating to escape over the front.
Beautiful.
Thanks.
