Two Mara Cheetahs
by David Lloyd
Two cheetahs, a mother and a son in the Maasai Mara last week. Cheetahs seek a high point to look for dinner, and mother is doing just that with one of her teenage offspring here. Another family member was present too, just out of frame.
Equipment: Nikon D700, 200-400 f/4 zoom lens

Beautiful picture! Serene indeed, the calm before the storm when they spot their prey
. The colors blend beautifully.

The whole composition is very pleasing. The colors of the grasses mirror the colors of the cheetahs.
