Death Valley Squared
by Rich Greene
The sunrise at Death Valley's Zabriskie Point literally has photographers standing in line waiting for that perfect moment.
I had plenty of shots of the standard view. I decided to zoom in to make this one more abstract.
Equipment: Nikon D80

I've been fascinated by photography and photographs since I was a boy.
I took a long hiatus then got back into it seriously about three years ago.
I'm now trying to make up for lost time.

Death valley must be a photographer’s paradise; the downside is that you have to get very creative to get a shot that no one else is taking; well done with this one.

The way each and everyone looks at things and uses it to materialize a scene on a single image, makes this journey a rich and wonderful experience. The places are also decisive, but the final result its always more dependent on the Artist inner-self and inner-experience. Too much poetry? Maybe… -Just ignore it and enjoy This Amazing Photo.

Great textures!

What I like is it feels upside down, then look at it again and it isn’t! Would make a wonderful fabric print to use in my portraits!

Why does this remind me of baguettes, side by side? Must be because I didn’t eat breakfast! A wonderfully textural shot!

Great shot Rich. The landscape almost seems alive with movement to me, like waves lapping on a shore.

I don’t know what I’m looking at so my brain cannot process this, but it’s interesting…

Death Valley is incomparable, but you’ve managed to show me a new angle! The textures, lines, and shaded colors in this shot would make a frustrating but wonderful jigsaw puzzle, don’t you think?
