Wildflower Season
by Justin Reznick
Spay Park has gone wild! If you're itching to photograph wildflowers in Mt. Rainier National Park, head to the Northwest section of the Park. Make sure and bring lots of repellent as the mosquitoes have just hatched and they are mighty hungry!

This image epitomizes quotes from both Robert Frost and John Muir–”The woods are lovely, dark and deep…”……………..and “Come to the woods, for here is rest…” The colors are cool and inviting–altogether a perfect invitation to the viewer. Lovely!!!

The woods are lovely but the insect bit. For a view like this we will get over that.

Wildflowers is one of my favourite subjects. The lighting is well planned to bring out the beauty of the scene.

Thanks everyone! This was taken on August 11th and the purple flowers are lupines.

At first I thought this was Texas. They look just like Bluebonnets. In fact they have to be Bluebonnets. Lovely!
