Tamang Woman
by Nabin
Jhamai Tamang, 36, from Dewlang Village Development Committee, smiled at camera when she was taking a rest in a local cafe in Dolakha District of Nepal. It was a good opportunity for me.
Equipment: Canon 400D

I like the black background and her eyes are warm and her expression open. NIce shot.

I would like to correct ICIMODI as ICIMOD

Great character portrait possibly needs a little more light.

Very nice portrait and nice deep colors. I would give it some more exposure however the dim lighting has a nightly effect which i also like in a way.

Nice capture with a personality showing through!

Beautiful portrait. There is just enough light to show the beauty of her face. There is evidence of a colourful costume.

Beautiful portrait. I love her peaceful smile and her gaze reveals calm and satisfaction. The dark tones enhance her attire. I’m glad to see a bit of her hand, the hand of a hard-working woman.

Nice shot!

Her attire and smile are wonderful. I like the mood the darker tone sets, especially since her face is lit beautifully. Superb portrait.

She has a lovely warm smile. Nice kindly eyes too. Well done.

Nice shot..I second the kind eyes comment. Exposure looks spot on, on my monitor anyway.
Thanks!

She looks lovely. I hope you gave her a copy, Nabin!

I completely agree with Laura M. The darker tone has a nice dramatic effect and her face is lit proportionately. She does indeed have a nice smile..I think more light would have given it that “fake” studio look, and would not have had the same impact. Nice catch light in her eyes as well.
Great portrait!

Lovely portrait!

What a beautiful woman! I wonder how old her beads are? (I’m a bead-aholic) I also think the lighting was perfect!
