Edge of the Earth

by Will Burrard-Lucas

This is my wife standing in front of the spectacular Victoria Falls, Zambia. The Zambezi river is in full flood at this time of year making the falls particularly impressive. Read more about this trip on my blog: Honeymoon in Zambia

Mystical photo. I love the fact that your wife is in the picture looking out. Great work.

Lovely take on Vic Falls… with the romantic light and silk like water.
Congrats.

Great shot indeed, I really like the flowing water and your wife standing still.

Impressive shot. I can just imagine how loud the falls were and it looks dangerous!

awesome. i particularly love the way the water seems to fall over into nothingness, as if it were really the end of the world.

The light is fantastic. I love the rocks and the sun shining through the tree on the right. Great family picture! Your wife is very brave to be standing there.

Congratulations on the launch of grand achievment. Finding the love of your life, and trotting with her around the globe must be an over-the-top blessing. And I love the photo too. Before I saw the title I though…Edge of the World.

great shot, but is that exposure change or filter that makes water look like that. EVERY picture I see has water looking like that. I personally don’t like it but I do like the shot itself, great place and having a lady on the rock gives it sort of surreal feeling having that “chasm edge” so close.

What a beautiful photo, thanks for sharing.

Your wife in the foreground adds both a sense of danger and beauty to the overall scene. Rushing waters with the sun low in the sky allows photographers to capture the colors well, especially when diffused through the tree branches. Congratulations.

Fabulous location, surreal shot. I agree with Don’s comment of ‘danger and beauty’ portrayed in the scene. I wish I was there. Thanks for sharing this moment.

What a unique perspective. At first glimpse she looks like she is surrounded by clouds. I find myself somewhere between heaven and earth. Nice!

The whole package is very impressive. First, that great waterfall. Second, the fact that it was your honeymoon trip. Third, you have taken your wife as a part of the subject (it shows your respect for her & we take it as a honeymoon gratitude from you to your wife). Last but not the least, your wife looks very dignified and charming, has added beauty to the whole scene.

Congrats! Happy married life.
