Sanctuary

by Ian Plant

After passing through a curtain of icy water while wading up to my waist, I found a small dry space looking out through this remote desert waterfall, tucked deep away in a rarely visited sandstone slot canyon.

That’s amazing, I’m glad you braved the icy water for this shot. The light is amazing how it bounces and reflects off the rocks and the water. Brilliant!

Great composition, wonderful colors, movement and light. Wish I could see it myself, but for now I’ll settle for sharing moments like this. Thank you so much!

At first I thought this was Antelope Canyon, so glad I took a closer look! This is a purely magical photo, the light is perfect. Thank you for sharing it (and being in cold water to get it!) – brilliant!

I can imagine why it’s ‘rarely visited’, looked dangerous! My thanks to you for taking us there.
