Down Stream
by Jared Ropelato
Outside of Joseph, Or there are sevareal beautiful (and sometimes very steep) trails that take you up and out of the valley and into the "high country"Â where you will find gargantuan rock peaks, year round snow, and moutain streams/rivers. This scene came into my view as my family and I were hiking down from one such trail after shooting some family portraits up near a waterfall. I was immediately taken with the shape of the stream, the motion of the water, and the lush green landscape that Oregon is known for.

I like the show, but being a purist I wish
you had not altered the stream. I think it
is difficult to enhance natural beauty.

I completely agree with Leslie, not that I don’t like the shot, I Love it. Colors of the forest, moss, rocks everything is great except that so many people use this filter lately its not original any longer. I wish you’ve had the water captured in its natural way. Seeing the reflections in the water would have added so much depth to this shot. Just my opinion though.

The stream looks like pulled cotton, I do like the climbing Ivy.

Trickery afoot! What would normally be a peaceful forest shot, makes me feel as if I should run from a flash flood–the stream seems to be a maelstrom ready to wreak havoc. This takes me out of my comfort zone–but I think I like it for just that reason.
