Didn't see many whales on this whale watching trip but the dolphins certainly made up for it.

I am amazed! Dolphins are light, fluid and warm, and you haven done something totally opposite (in a good way) in this shot! The sharp angles of the dolphin, the ripples, it makes this seem like some fossil dolphin or a dolphin made of stone. I love the focal not being on the face but on the tail and back, this is just so strange and unique! I love it!

Great picture unusual view of a dolphin. Are you using the kit lens that came with the 1000D? Did you have a polarizing filter?
