Lupine Top
by Michael A Blanchette
Every June, the White Mountains of New Hampshire bloom with colorful lupine flowers. Purple is the dominant color, although blue, white, pink and variegated specimen abound. This image was taken above the flower, peeking down into the plant.
Equipment: Nikon D3x with Sigma 150mm macro lens

A living kaleidoscope! Great color–nice eye for an unusual shot of such a common wildflower.
