Farewell to the Azaleas

by Tony and Marie Newton

Despite the severe winter and the recent air frost, the azalea flowers in our garden have been the most magnificent they have ever been this year. Within a few hours of taking this photo heavy rain and wind arrived and the show was over!

Beautiful snapshot of your garden. I have only a few azaleas but, like yours, they exploded in color and abundance after the being buried under snow for weeks this past winter. Thanks for sharing your garden.

Your garden is beautiful, so cheerful. I’d love to transport myself into that shot and sit there reading a book and take in the scene and the smells.

This garden must have cost a lot of thought, commitment and hard work, well done.

As a fellow gardener, I salute the hard work it took to achieve this effect–a living patch-work quilt. My sister and I only have a small yard, but we get so much joy from each plant, whether flowering, textural, or edible!
