Horse at Sunset

by John E

I sat patiently waiting for what David duChemin calls the catch light - the slight twinkle in your subject's eyes as soft light is reflected. I would've liked a more eye-pleasing posture, but I'll take the catch light I'm given for now...

Nice shot John E. To capture this beautiful creature in a close up in this light is quite a coup. Good for you.

The barbwire fence makes me sad In this piece I kind if see ‘imprisoned spirit”. Still a wonderful shot even with my sad perspective!

John,

Patients pays off! I think the posture is perfect, it gives the photo interest, a story (what is he looking at?) and motion. The bokeh is just right. I think this is one of the best and most interesting photos of the day I have seen in awhile. Congratulations.

This is a lovely shot and the light was certainly worth waiting for. Pity about the barbed wire but we can’t have everything.

Beautiful picture. Thanks for sharing it. Maybe the horse is on the outside of the barbed wire looking in..

I like the posture that you captured. It looks more like real life than some full profile “pose.” Even the fence adds something – like the horse walked straight to the fence and is now look down its length for an opening (orsomesuchnonsense).
