Making An Appearance

by Jim Patterson

As is often the case when out shooting landscapes, whether by land or by sea, the sun can play hide-n-seek with us hapless photographers. Some of the best moments occur during those brief glimpses when the sun does make an appearance. I like the Sun here. In this scene it does look 93 million miles from us. Great.

This is outstanding; the colors in the foreground reflecting the sun in the background in what was already a very well composed shot; well done indeed.

You’re not wrong, I find myself chasing the sun all the time, and its when you do nt think you’ll see the sun and it makes an appearance, then that is the shot we all want.
Lovely capture with some great looking rocks.

The exposure makes the water look like dry ice mist. Definitely transports me to a fantastic place.
