Navajo Sandstorm

by Craig Wolf

The wind is really blowing here and sand is stuck to my teeth. My Navajo Guide went out to make sure we could make it back to jeep. It's an unforgettable moment for me.

Wow what a great shot. The figure of the Guide pulls it all into perspective.

Despite the vastness and intensity of the back drop, you can’t help but be drawn to the guide.

Superb shot! I love the black and white; it makes the scene more powerful, with the sky looking so ominous and the land so vast and offering no refuge…

I find this to be a very powerful image in b&w. The man walking really adds to it.
