Eyjafjallajokull Eruption
by Orvaratli
Eyjafjallajokull, Iceland
I could not wait going out again photographing the volcanic Eruption in Eyjafjallajokull glacier. The weather has been really bad here in Iceland for the last few days. On this day it finally was good with clear skies so off I went with a few friends and family.

This is a wonderful shot something the majority of us would never hope to see. What a lovely country you have.

Wow; this is a great shot, but wasn’t it dangerous so near to an active volcano?

Spectacular photo! Thanks for going there and showing us this amazing event. I especially love the bright red against the blue sky. By the way, when I heard the news about the eruption, I thought it might have been Mt. Hekla, which I saw years ago.

It reminds me of the National Geographic shot of the man standing at, what looked like, the volcanoes edge as it spewed lava into the air. Wouldn’t at least one of your family members have volunteered to do this for you? Kidding! Awesome shot!!
