I believe this owl is telling you that you got too close for it’s comfort. Beautiful coloring with blurred background.

I went to the National History Museum in DC last week, and I saw this picture on the Nature’s Best Photography Awards Exhibition 2009. I remember this one, because it was awarded to the youngest photographer, 19 years.

Owls try to make themselves look bigger by assuming strange postures such as this. He’s marvelous–I can hear him calling, ‘Who cooks for you, who cooks for you-all?’–great shot!
