Why is it so Grand

by James Fougere

While perched on a narrow Canyon ledge, I captured this image during the final moments of an intense orange colored sunset. This photo was taken while on a year-long journey around North America.

One of the best photos of the Grand Canyon I’ve ever seen. The earth tones are warm and rich.

That touch of sun on the rock gives it deserving grandeur. Thanks for sharing.

It is an impressive place to see. I actually used a 300mm lens for this image! Hard to believe using a telephoto lens for a “grand” landscape image! I have a few other similar images on my website during the same sunset shoot.

I appreciate a warm inviting shot like this on a cold wintery day. Unusual view of one of my favorite places.
