Michael, could you please tell me where you took this picture? I would love to get to know a bit more about the place. :)

Great pic!

I was going to ask the same question. It has such a tranquil aura about it.

Love this pictue and the way you captured the reflections. Reminds me of photographs I have seen from China.

The reflections and colors are nice.

Great work as usual Michael. The foreground U/W vegetation forma a very nice pattern which leads the eye into the scene. On a personal taste however, The mist is just slightly more in value and hence carries some more than desired visual weight. Of course there might be others who may like the effect.

Jim-
You might be right. This place does seem to be in China.

Thanks you guys. Hanna, this is the Li River in Southeast China. If you look at a map, the nearest city is Guilin. It’s one of the most unique landscapes I’ve ever seen. A real fantasyland.

This is just wonderful, magical! It would have been a superbly evocative shot with simply those wonderful hills, remnants of the ancient landscape and the mists… but the inclusion of the streaming weeds is inspired.

This AWESOME shot is from Lijiang River around Guilin. There are 54 km along the Lijiang River between Zhujiang Pier and Yangshuo where there are thousands of picturesque peaks.

The plants in the water makes the image way more interesting than if there weren’t any. Colors are beautiful, composition perfect and great use with rule of third!

This sure looks like Guilin China. It is absolutely magical…..too bad he did not identify it.
That area and Summer Palace area. When we visited it there was gentle rain falling. Of course everybody was whining about it, but I thought there was something enchanting about the setting as you looked out at the lake with mist that hung over it…………..amazing
