Dew Drop
by Alessandro Zocchi
Among the moss on a fallen tree a bright, yellow mushroom was showing itself. I used it as a background to highlight this moss capsule holding a dew drop.

A different shot, the dew drop looks like glass. Congrats on POTD.

The astounding diversity of size, shape, and color in both mosses and fungi really amaze me. I can’t wait for spring to put on a new show! The idea to utilize the bright yellow as a background was truly inspired–like dawn on a new day.

Nice shot. It looks like a bird, replete with a beak and a long neck!
