Whispering Wind In Rondane
by Seung Kye Lee
Wind and fleeting morning light at the base of Rondvasshogdi Mountain, Rondane Nasjonalpark, Norway.
There is no sky in this photograph and what might be interpreted as sky in the background is actually the base of Rondvasshogdi Mountain partly obscured by morning fog.

hard to understand whats actually going on in this shot, even when I look at it for a long time, but the abstract nature of it is aluring.

How beautiful! Is that a lake with boats beyond the immediate slope? Is that a house at the edge? I love how the shades of blue, gray and white blend in the delicate light.

  9. Ellie Langford Says:

It’s a great beginning of a terrific abstract. The color and flow of the lines suggesting motion are perfect for the theme. Cloning out the rocks in the “sky”, lighter part, could help maintain the allusion of whispering winds and make a truly awesome abstract.

  10. Renee Renee Says:

    very neat shot!

  11. Ed Hamlin Says:

It is hard to discern the layers or depth, maybe a bit of black for added depth 1 or 2 points. I like the color. Overall to create a surrealistic piece to cause thoughtful contemplation is good.

This image grows on me more and more each time I see it! Great use of shadow, light, and line to create a great abstract image.

  22. Kirk Jordan Says:

Yup, fooled me too. I kept thinking, why has Earthshots posted a picture with dirt all over it. It looked like a badly stored Kodachorme slide with dirt all over the “sky” – Now I see this is earth or vegetation pushing thought the sky.
