Are those very short trees or is that very deep snow?
Nice winter scene. Great sky colors.
Perfect image to signal the Dawn of the new year.
Wishing all, a very happy New Year.

A lovely shot to begin the New Year; wishing all the same peace in 2010.
Lovely shot Kevin. A nice way to start the New Year.
This is a beautiful shot, Kevin. I tended to think Picture Lake was only a sunset spot. This image changed my mind on that. The fresh untrodden snow and pre-sunrise light are perfect.
Kevin, a forest draped in lavendar velvet! The yellow really makes the whole thing “Pop”. Interesting how the different colors fade into one another! Good eye, wonderful shot. Thank you for sharing and may you have many more this year!
Very nice sunrise indeed! Thanks for sharing!
What a wonderful photography, seems the scene of a Christmas story! Regards and Happy New Year 2010, from Argentine!!!
Lovely shot for the start of the year, the images on this site just seem to get better and better, I think everyone can pick up a hint or too along the way as everyone is so generous with their advice.
Happy new year to one and all,
Another beautiful shot Kevin. Must have been some wind gusting through. Right now I can’t get past the feeling of c-c-c-c-cold!
Happy New Year, everyone! My granddaughter has left for home, so I finally get my laptop back! As I sit here, it is 15 degrees outside with a wind-chill making it feel like 2. I WILL NOT be going out today, but this pristine wilderness sunrise almost makes me think I like snow! Wonderful shot, Kevin. Thanks for sharing it so I don’t have to go there!
