This was an image I took last year with fellow flickr member Kevin Pieper. This was a fun morning that involved snowshoeing on this popular spot in the fall but was completely isolated after a winter storm. This was an early morning sunrise.

This is a beautiful shot, Kevin. I tended to think Picture Lake was only a sunset spot. This image changed my mind on that. The fresh untrodden snow and pre-sunrise light are perfect.

Happy New Year, everyone! My granddaughter has left for home, so I finally get my laptop back! As I sit here, it is 15 degrees outside with a wind-chill making it feel like 2.
